Heart Jewel: A Daily Practice to Progress to Enlightenment

A Meditation Half Day Workshop
Thu 25 April · 9.30am – 1.15pm · $50
Heart Jewel is a chanted prayer practice that lies at the very heart of the New Kadampa Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. It includes two practices revealed by the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri. In this workshop, Kelsang Tara will give an explanation of these practices and how to integrate them into a regular meditation practice.

The first is a special Guru yoga in which we visualise our Spiritual Guide as the great Buddhist master Je Tsongkhapa. By relying upon this practice, we can purify negativity, accumulate merit, and receive blessings. This is essential if we wish to make authentic spiritual progress and deepen our experience in meditation.

The second practice is a method for relying upon the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden. Through this, we can overcome obstacles and create favourable conditions so that we can nurture and increase our Dharma realisations.

The Teacher

Kelsang Tara is a fully ordained Australian Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Perth.

Tara has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years, and ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2015. Tara’s inspiring teachings reflect her sincere wish to help those in need and to share her experience of Buddha’s life-changing instructions with others.
