Refuge Retreat (unguided)

Sat 4 April & Sat 13 June

Deepen your refuge in the Three Jewels of Buddhism and make progress on the path to enlightenment.

The Retreat

The foundation of the Buddhist way of life is to go for refuge – to Buddha, to guide us along the spiritual path to enlightenment; to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings) to protect us from fear and suffering; and to Sangha (those practising Buddha’s teachings) to inspire us, show a good example and to help us along the path to inner peace.

During this retreat, spend time developing the beautiful mind of refuge, fill your mind with inspiring blessings and discover how to free yourself from suffering and problems permanently.

Retreat Sessions

There are four sessions a day. Each session lasts for an hour and a half and consists of chanted prayers sung in English and a silent period for reading, contemplation and meditation. Meditation handbooks will be available to help you guide your retreat session. You are welcome to drop in for any or all of the retreat sessions and there is no charge. If you haven’t been to the Centre before, it is suggested that you arrive 5-10 minutes early so someone can show you around.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy this special opportunity.
