Treat yourself to a day away from your normal routine. Enjoy the opportunity just to be with yourself, no pressure and no expectations. Learn how to silence the mental chatter with meditation on the mind.
Most people think taking a break is just swapping one activity for another. The office for the beach, the to-do list for Netflix, the busyness of the city for a tree-change getaway. Even if we do absolutely nothing we don’t get any real escape from all our worries and stress. That’s because our mind is always with us.

If we want some real peace we need mental peace. Without it we have no peace at all and little chance of real and lasting happiness. This one-day silent retreat will combine gentle guided meditations to calm the mind and time for relaxation in a quiet and beautiful environment.

The event concludes with an opportunity to ask questions accompanied by a delicious home-made chai.

The Teacher

The Teacher of this course is Kelsang Tara. Tara is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Perth. Tara has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years, and ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2015. Tara’s inspiring teachings reflect her sincere wish to help those in need and to share her experience of Buddha’s life-changing instructions with others.
