We offer school visits where primary and secondary age students have the opportunity to try meditation and learn practical techniques for improving their mental health and wellbeing

Your School Visit

A school visit to Kadampa Meditation Centre Perth connects students with practical techniques for improving their mental peace and wellbeing, whilst expanding their understanding of the different spiritual traditions that exist in our world and how Buddhism is practiced in modern-day Australia.

The visit consists of a practical talk, a guided meditation, and you may wish to encourage the students to prepare some questions in advance to have a more interesting and dynamic visit.

Tailor-made Sessions

There are a range of topics our Resident Teacher, Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Tara, can tailor the visit to focus on. We’d appreciate being guided by you as to what topics you’d like emphasised and what you hope the session will achieve for the students.
Developing a calm, peaceful mind for a happier life

Coping with anxiety, stress and overwhelm

Accepting painful emotions, difficulties and uncertainty

Becoming a more resilient person

Improving confidence and self worth

Navigating challenging relationships and bullying

Dealing with loneliness

Making a positive contribution to the world

A representative from your school is welcome to visit the centre before booking a school visit, either outside of class times, or to attend one of our meditation classes free of charge. Let us know you’re coming and we can suggest a class that will give a good indication of what the school visit content will be like.

“If our mind is peaceful we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.”
