In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for discussion, followed by refreshments.

No meditation experience is necessary, classes are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome.

The class is located in the Quakers Meeting Hall, 35 Clifton Cres, Mount Lawley.

If we wish to enjoy good relationships, it is essential that we learn to distinguish between love and attachment. Learn how to become free from attachment, which causes only problems and suffering, whilst cultivating a pure love for others.

Buddha taught that all our unhappiness, stress and irritation comes from our mind. Discover how to identify the actual causes of stress, and explore meditations that heal the mind of these causes.

The teacher of this class is Gen Kelsang Ani, the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Perth. She has been studying and practising modern Kadampa Buddhism with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 15 years. Ani teaches with warmth and compassion, making modern Buddhism accessible and applicable to all.
