Our courses at the Centre are packed with practical wisdom and include the opportunity to receive teachings from a qualified teacher and to contemplate and meditate on these instructions.
On Sunday 12th January from 10-11.30am our Resident Teacher Kelsang Tara will give a practical introduction to the meditation challenge – sharing insights for effective meditation and how we can carry our meditation experience into our daily life.
Then, every week-day morning from 7-8.15am for three weeks, Kelsang Tara will guide one of the 15 meditations on Kadam Lamrim presented in the book ‘The Mirror of Dharma with Additions’. Having kick-started our day developing mental peace and increasing our wisdom, we then enter the rest of the day with more peace, purpose and perspective. Over 15 days we will build the foundation of the path to enlightenment in our minds!
We will combine our meditations with the practice of Heart Jewel, the daily prayer practice within Kadampa Buddhism that helps us to prepare our minds for meditation by accumulating positive energy, purifying our negative karma and receiving blessings and inspiration for our practice.
